About the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers

Meetings

These meetings are the perfect place to socialize with the club members and engineering professionals. They are always full of information about the Student Branch's plans for the year and the various opportunities that we provide to our members. We even invite guest speakers that will fill our club members with new knowledge!

Workshops

These are hands-on labs that are hosted by the IEEE Student Branch for all CSUB students and community members. These labs can range from using soldering irons to using microcomputers. To view previous workshops, go here.

Travel

There are certain events IEEE has planned to take IEEE Members, such as Rising Stars Conference, power plant tours, and other IEEE funded trips.

Fundraising & Volunteering

We have regular events throughout the year to raise money for workshops, tours, and events this Student Branch will host. We also participate in volunteering events, such as helping out with the RowdyCon charity event and judging for the Vex Robotics Competitions.

Outreach

We participate in various CSUB outreach events to talk face-to-face with the campus community about what this Student Branch provides!

Study Sessions

We help hold study sessions for students who will be taking the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam for Electrical and Computer Engineers. For more information about the FE Exam, go here.
