Short Bio

Dr. Chengwei Lei joined the Department of Computer & Electrical Engineering/Computer Science at California State University, Bakersfield as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2016. His research interests lie in the broad area of bioinformatics, data mining, network topology analysis, and clustering problems.

Before that, Dr Chengwei Lei worked as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at McNeese State University since Fall 2014.

Dr. Chengwei Lei received his Ph.D. in August 2014 from the Department of Computer Science in The University of Texas at San Antonio, under the supervision of Dr. Jianhua Ruan. Before that, he received his M.S. in Computer Science from University of Texas at San Antonio(2008), B.S.in Computer Science and Technology from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics(北京航空航天大学)(2005), and second B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics(2005).
