Homework 3 - Your Well-Being
Due: Monday October 10, 2011 at 3:00pm
Create a group of up to 4 students. Each group will only need to submit one
write-up. Turn to page 47 in Runner Life and complete the following three
activities:
- Staying in College - Choose one of the four clusters that lead to students
dropping out: adjustment, difficulty, incongruence, isolation. Brainstorm,
discuss, and evaluate various strategies to help overcome your chosen
cluster.
- Physical Health - Choose a location on or near campus where a student can
exercise or eat a healthy meal. Research the specific details of that
location (which can include photographs).
- Emotional Health - If a student is experiencing stress, besides going to
the Counseling Center, what else can he or she do to help him or her deal
with this stress? Choose a location on or near campus where a student can
ease stress. Research the specific details of that location (which can
include photographs).
Instead of a presentation in front of the class (as indicated on page 47),
write up a small report
(1-2 pages) about what you have discovered for each activity. One student
from the group will email that report to me, making sure to CC all of the
students in the group.
