VLSI Circuit Design Lab has committed to the research, development and commercialization activities in the field of
wireless communication engineering nationally and internationally. With the full support from California State
University, government agencies, research collaborators and industrial partners, VLSI Circuit Design Lab will be headed
for greater ambitions in the future.
Our ultimate aim is to become a world-class centre of excellent in wireless communication engineering and one of the very best research hub for wireless technology in the nation. We planned our strategies towards becoming a dynamic key player in research and development as well as offering outstanding research experience for our visiting scholars and researchers.
California State University Bakersfield opens its door to both national and international research collaborators to join us in various interesting and innovative R&D programs. We would also like to share our expertise and experience with you through short courses and consultancy services. I am confident that VLSI Lab experts are capable of providing strong support in line with your aspirations.

Dr. Reza Abdolee is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer & Electrical and Computer Science, California State Uninversity, Bakersfield. He received his Ph.D. in Computer and Electrical Engineering from McGill University, Montreal, Cananda.
Dr. Abdolee was a Senior System Engineer at Qualcomm Inc. working on designing camera subsystems for smartphones. Prior to his Ph.D., he has been working on several research topics in collaboration with industry and R&D laboratories. From August to December 2012, he was a research intern at Bell Labs, Alcatel-Lucent, Germany, where he worked on the design and development of advanced signal processing algorithms for LTE/LTEA standard wireless systems. From April to September 2011, he was a visiting scholar at Adaptive System Laboratory, University of California, Los Angeles. During this period he has worked closely with Prof. Ali H. Sayed on the design and performance analysis of distributed optimization algorithms with application to sensor networks.
The works of Dr. Abdolee has been recognized with several prestigious scholarships and awards, including, NSERC postgraduate award, FQRNT Doctoral Research Scholarship, DAAD-RISE Professional Scholarship, ReSMiQ Supplementary Scholarship and SYTACom Industrial Collaboration Award.
